MIGUNA THE POLITICIA

Miguna is a well known person in the political field. He became famous in the year 2017 during the general elections of Kenya. Miguna political journey started early when he was in university at Naieobi University where he was elected as a student leader in 1986 upto 1987. The man didn’t start becoming a pain on the neck recently, but he started early in 1987 where he was sent to exile and expelled from the university because he championed on the issue of multi-party in Kenya. This was during the reign of Daniel Arap Moi.

Miguna Miguna was able to obtain a political asylum from Canada government after his release in 1988 where he obtained a Canadian citizenship.

The man acted as an advisor to former prime minisrer Raila Odinga in 2009. The battle of Miguna being accused of having two citizenship started in 2010 where the claims were that he is a foreigner because by the time he obtained Canadian citizenship, the kenyan law didn’t recognize dual citizenship.

Apart from being a politician he is an author too. He published a book known as “A quest for justice in kenya”, where he tries to exposed Raila as a pretender or an imposter.

In 2017 after the general elections Miguna alongside with his opposition leaders did not accept the defeat of their leader, Raila and they filed a case in the High court of kenya. The court ruled for the re-elections of the presidential seat and Raila was defeated again by Uhuru Kenyatta. This frustated the opposition party and they announced that kenyans should boycott every governmental products and services.

Due to the frustration, Miguna took a step of swearing in Raila as “The People’s President” which led to his arrest and finally he was ordered out of the country and was fled to Canada forcefully. Since then he has tried to come back to the country but he has not been successful till now.

The man with two similar names have proved to be a man of his word and actions.
